I really didnt understand lock the wheel. I did the first time you did it, I was able to duplicate it no problem and spun to the left. But the next time you did it you went back to full throttle right away and went all the way through the turn no problem. I tried that over and over and over and kept spinning to the left. Then you put in a comment with no explanation at 4:30 mark saying dont get on the throttle too soon. Im completely confused now. Your video shows you on full throttle right after your turn in. Can you explain that a little? I am thinking its more me not being at a high enough level to drive like this. Maybe once I get better and controlling the car I can come back and practice this technique but for now sadly I need to modulate the throttle and drive slower. Still love the channel sir, mad respect

i was teammates with bob for good amount of time and I can honestly say he's a grinder. Always finds small and new ways to look at things, he upped my game to a new level.

Upgrading from the shittiest 2000s bin hardware, all the way to modern DD is the best thing. Back then, i bought a thrustmaster rgt, from my birthday money, but the ac adapter for ffb was broken, and i didn't knew better too, lol. I figured it out like 2 weeks later and got a refund, but they had nothing in stock. That threw me off my simracing career, and i invested in my dirtjump bicycle or something. 😊

And here I thought iRacing was a subscription because it came with regularly updated cars and tracks ;_;

For me the biggest thing that makes racing esports less compellig to watch is that it's almost universally far more fun to participate than watch. Racing has the unique factor of having the ability to have fun and accomplish something even when you are objectively losing. As long as you have somebody you can fight for position, you can race, even if the goal is to just not be last. Compare that to most other game genres where losing pretty much always feels like losing. In racing, you can lose, often very badly, and still feel like you won. Even in dead last you can have great racing if the moment strikes. It's just a format that encourages participation far more than observation given all the real-world barriers to entry are absent

This is one of them games that mystifies me. The graphics looks rubbish. Yet, people pay silly sums compared to other sims out there.

A lot of the instances you see on here of the RL drivers not caring in iRacing is because sim racing isn't one of their hobbies and they are under contract to participate.

Man there was never a time where i could fight for wins on my journey to 5k road.i eventually just went from losing in second split to losing harder in top split. I have like a <3% win rate and most of those wins were on off-weeks where everyone else was like 2k IR

I always hated the cockpit view in any racing game growing up. Gran Turismo 7 was no exception. I finally caved to all of the hype surrounding PSVR2 with GT7 and man was it worth it. Once I went VR I refused to go back. I am now slower on a flatscreen. I only play in VR with my PS5, so much so that I moved my sim rig to it's own location even though I have a high end TV for gaming. I just mounted a basic computer monitor in front of the rig so I can navigate menus while taking quick breaks from the headset.
